Electronics are not available until 5:00 PM on regular school days. Before then, children have time for homework, activities, movement, reading, creativity, games, and social connection. Ask us about Friday or special-schedule timing when you enroll.
No. Kid Space does not present technology as something children can never use. We use a balanced approach: screens wait until later in the afternoon, after children have had time to move, create, socialize, handle responsibilities, and participate in other options.
Children can work on homework, make art, build with LEGO, shoot hoops, read, use imaginative-play areas, join scheduled activities, spend time with friends, participate in active play, and use the Ninja Room or Dojo as part of the program's activities.

Kid Space has five distinct activity areas: the Art Room, Activity Room, The Backroom, Ninja Room, and Dojo. The separate spaces let homework, creative projects, active play, older-child time, and larger group activities happen without everything being crammed into one room.
The Art Room is used for younger children's homework time, art projects, and provided snack. It gives younger school-age children a dedicated space to settle in, create, and work through the early part of their afternoon.
The Activity Room includes a basketball area, LEGO spaces, a library, imaginative-play areas, an indoor sandbox, open activity space, and televisions available later in the day. It is designed for kids to have choices that include movement, building, reading, play, and social time.
The Backroom is Kid Space's dedicated older-child environment for students in fourth grade and up. It gives older students a place to hang out with friends, work on homework or projects, play games, use creative materials, and have more age-appropriate independence.
A fourth grader may be ready for an environment with more independence and older-peer connection. That is why Kid Space has The Backroom, which is available beginning in fourth grade. The question is not whether a child is too old for care. It is whether their afternoon has an age-appropriate place to belong.
Older students can use The Backroom and take part in activities, homework time, movement, social connection, and age-appropriate choices around the building. Kid Space is designed to give older kids more than a little-kid room with older children added in.
The Ninja Room is a separate matted active-play space with a trampoline, zip line, climbing apparatus, swings, and other active-play equipment. It is distinct from the Dojo and gives children an indoor place to move and challenge themselves.
The Dojo is a separate large matted room used for Jiu-Jitsu and larger active games and activities, such as indoor soccer, freeze tag, dodgeball, drama, and other group experiences. It gives the program a dedicated place for movement that does not take over every other part of the facility.
Elementary students can participate in art, homework support, active play, basketball, LEGO, reading, imaginative play, group games, scheduled activities, and social time. The goal is to give children choices that fit a school-age afternoon instead of a one-size-fits-all waiting room.
Kid Space uses separate spaces, different activity options, and different levels of independence for younger and older students. A kindergartener may need more routine and support with the transition after school. An older child may want The Backroom, friends, projects, and more independence within clear boundaries.

After school is a meaningful social part of the day. Kid Space gives children time to talk, play, build, create, join activities, and spend time with peers in an environment designed for school-age children. Friendships develop differently for every child, so we do not promise a specific outcome, but connection is built into the afternoon.
Children have opportunities to try activities, use their voice, ask adults for help, make age-appropriate choices, work through challenges, and spend time with peers. The Kid Space approach includes encouragement around confidence, boundaries, respectful behavior, and growing independence.

For eligible children, the afternoon can continue from Kid Space into martial-arts training because Kid Space and Sochin Martial Arts are physically connected. For families using the connected Kid Space and Sochin schedule, some children can move directly from the Kid Space afternoon into martial-arts training. Questions 61-71 of 81. Camp day dates, prices and sign-up for the 2026-2027 school year.
Single camp days are Tuesday, November 3; Wednesday, November 11; Monday, January 4; and Monday, January 18. Thanksgiving break camp is November 23, 24, 25 and 27. Winter break camp is December 21, 22 and 23, and December 28, 29, 30 and 31. Kid Space is closed Thanksgiving Day, December 24, December 25 and January 1.
A single camp day at Kid Space is $60. For Thanksgiving break, families pay $60 a day or $199 for all four days. Children already enrolled in Kid Space before and after care add $10 a day to their regular weekly tuition instead. Winter break has its own pricing for everyone.
Early bird winter break pricing is $125 for week 1 (December 21, 22 and 23), $159 for week 2 (December 28, 29, 30 and 31), or $269 for both weeks, all seven days. Register and pay by Friday, November 20 to lock in this pricing. Winter break isn't part of the before and after care contract, so enrolled students pay winter break pricing too.
No. Kid Space is closed Thanksgiving Day, December 24, December 25 and January 1. Camp runs the other days of Thanksgiving break and winter break.
A packed lunch, a water bottle, a snack, and closed-toe sneakers. Kid Space provides everything else. Please leave phones, tablets and toys at home.
Doors open at 6:30 AM and camp runs until 6:30 PM. Families come and go on their own schedule. There is no set drop-off window.
Kindergarten through 8th grade. Kid Space is a school-age facility, so camp days go by grade rather than age.
Kids have 9,000 square feet to move through, including 3,000 square feet of matted space: a Ninja Warrior room with a trampoline, a zip line and climbing apparatus, the dojo for indoor games, a LEGO lab, an art room, a video game room, an indoor sandbox, a play cafe and a basketball hoop. The day is run by experienced Kid Space staff who can't wait to meet them.
Register through the camp day registration form. When you finish, payment links appear on the confirmation screen. Pick the one that matches the days you signed up for and pay in full. You will get an emailed receipt from GoDaddy.

Yes. Kid Space in Port St. Lucie accepts ELC, the Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County, for before and after school care, with no differential payment required. Families pay only their ELC-assigned copay.
ELC is the Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County. Its School Readiness program helps working families pay for child care, including before and after school care for school-age kids.
It depends on your work or school hours, your income and your family size. If you qualify, ELC sets a copay for your family. Call ELC's Family Services team at 772-595-6363, or apply through Florida's Family Portal.

Yes. Kid Space Summer Camp runs Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, all summer, for kids entering kindergarten through 8th grade in fall 2027. Campers are grouped by the grade they're going into.
Enrollment for Summer 2027 opens January 1. Dates, field trip calendars and the online registration form will be posted on the Summer Camp page that day.
Campers go on field trips in the Kid Space vans, meet special guests who come to Kid Space (like the Hobe Sound Nature Center, the Manatee Center, a magician, eXtreme Mobile Gaming and Mister Softee), and do in-house activities like laser tag, glow-in-the-dark parties, color runs and magic shows.
